How has your experience been in studying the piano with Mr. Woo?

“I thoroughly enjoy piano class with Mr. Woo.  He makes it fun and teaches with a lot of patience.  He makes music exciting.”

“It has been great because over the years I have improved in piano and in music.  Piano helps to play other instruments, because after piano I started taking violin at school.  Reading the notes is easy because I already learned how to in my piano lessons with Mr. Woo.  It also becomes easier to actually hear the sound of the music because of how much I practiced and improved in piano.”

“It was great!  I have been learning a lot with Mr. Woo, and I also enjoy it very much.  My favorite parts are the recitals.”

“Amazing.  I improved very fast under his watch.  My entire family, including my parents, has had him teaching us for more than three years.”

“Good.  He is a patient teacher who does his best to push students to their full potential.  He has a unique way of teaching that leads students to relax and appreciate the music.”

“Excellent!  He has been teaching me ever since I was in Kindergarten, and I have been improving under his teaching.  My sister and brother also take lessons and also have learned lots.”

Mr. Woo is a very patient teacher and would remind my very active 6-year-old boy of the class rules gently and always has a way to get his attention back to the class without any struggle. So if you have a little boy who’s also very active, Mr. Woo is definitely a good teach to start with.

Mr. Woo is not only teaching the skills, but also inspiring student to think and feel the music, so my son would often request extra time for free-play, just to play some random pieces that fits his mood, which is exactly the purpose why we get him into piano: enjoy the music.

Also, Mr. Woo finds different ways to expose students to stage experience:  like inviting students to the local concert events, sharing the festival events info., hosting class party at his house every month,  which my son enjoyed a lot and gained a lot.
